Dr. Bonomo joined Mountain Ultrasound Imaging in 2012. He graduated from the New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed an internship with the Malcolm Grove Medical Center at Andrews Air Force Base in Mar

yland, where he was employed as a Staff Flight Surgeon. During that time, his interest in Radiology peaked. The technology-driven field allowed him to discover medical information and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide the best imaging and patient outcomes.

In 2004, he moved to Newark Delaware to complete his Radiology Residency at Christiana Care Health System, a large trauma center, where he witnessed a variety of exams from tractor accidents to knife and gun-related emergencies. Today, he practices with Carolina West Radiology and Mountain Ultrasound Imaging.

When he is not working, Dr. Bonomo spends time with his wife and four daughters who are involved in soccer, singing and swimming. He is on the Board of Directors for the Smokey Mountain Aquatic Club, better known as SMAC.

Al Wilson, MD

Dr. Wilson joined Mountain Ultrasound Imaging in 2012. He graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina and completed a rotating internship with the University of South Florida Affiliated Hospital System. He joined the United States Army Medical Corp as a flight surgeon for two years. Upon leaving the army, Dr. Wilson became what he calls a “country doctor” joining a small, rural practice in South Carolina.

However, his interest in radiological sciences increased. Dr. Wilson decided to complete a Radiology residency and CT/Ultrasound Fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and then returned to South Carolina to join Charleston Radiologists, PA. He served as President of the group for seven out of the eighteen years he worked there.

He retired in 2003 and moved to beautiful Sylva, North Carolina where he reentered the workplace and practices today with Carolina West Radiology and Mountain Ultrasound Imaging.

When he is not working, Dr. Wilson enjoys running, reading non-fiction and watching Clemson football. He and his wife Jan are active contributors to Western Carolina University’s Fine Arts program.

Bradley Escaravage, MD

Dr. Escaravage joined Mountain Ultrasound Imaging in September 2015. He graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2009 and completed a surgical internship with Lenox Hill Hospital in 2010. He began his Radiology residency at North Shore-LIJ-Hofstra University School of Medicine and is licensed to practice medicine in the state of North Carolina.

He chose Radiology to explore traditional and cutting-edge technologies to provide better care for his patients. The advancing field challenges his problem-solving skills and connects him to the entire spectrum of medicine.

Dr. Escaravage supports organizations promoting human rights and equality, hunger and food security, ALS research, harm reduction programs, and environmental causes. He is a devoted Bob Dylan fan, enjoys the local arts, cooking, biking, seeing live music, travelling and exploring the world with his wife and son.

James Sagar, MD

Dr. Sagar joined Mountain Ultrasound Imaging in July of 2017. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine in 2007. After his first child was born, he switched his focus from Neurosurgery to Radiology to provide a better work life balance and then completed his Radiology residency at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia.

In June 2017, Dr. Sagar returned to his neurology roots by completing a fellowship in Neuroradiology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is licensed in the state of North Carolina.

When he is not working, Dr. Sagar enjoys gardening, mixed martial arts, travel and playing with his children. He and his family are dedicated and involved in their local church. They support multiple missionaries and their families in eastern Europe, Asia and Africa. His future plans include medical mission work.
